In America

In America is a series of black-and-white photographs that explore and capture the essence of America’s vibrant communities and diverse landscapes. Each image tells a story of discovery, highlighting the people I’ve met, the small towns I’ve slept in, and the intricate beauty and complexity of traveling in this vast country.

About the
series

In America is an ongoing exploration of the people, places, and everyday details that reveal something about life in this country. From the streets of New York City to small towns and rural communities, I am drawn to places that are often passed by—the local diner, an aging storefront, a quiet main street, a hand-painted sign, or someone I meet along the way.

I photograph what I encounter rather than what I expect to find. Sometimes it is a person or an intimate moment; other times, it is a building, an object, or a landscape that carries the imprint of the people who have lived there.

There is beauty in these places, but also complexity. Economic decline, changing communities, questions of identity, and the traces of America's past exist alongside resilience, humor, pride, and connection.

In America is not an attempt to define the country. It is my continuing observation of it—one person, one place, and one unexpected encounter at a time.
